Read the Manual

One of the most important things you need to do to ensure your RV is ready for spring is to consult the manufacturer instructions. Read the manual or manufacturer's website for key maintenance requirements and safety information.

Every RV is a little different and will have unique features. You should pay special attention to the electrical, plumbing, safety equipment and appliances.

Crack the Seal - Time to Open Your RV

If your RV has been unattended all winter, you may be greeted by a musty smell inside when you first open it back up. This is the normal result of air standing for a long period and nothing to be concerned about. Just open up the doors and windows and give it some time to air out.

Inspect the interior of your RV thoroughly for any signs of pests. If you left bug or mouse traps in your trailer over the winter, now is the time to check and empty them.
